Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19th 1965. She is an American actress and producer. She is most famous for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick received an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The series ended on August 13th, 2012 following the completion of the seventh season. Sedgwick's performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick declares herself Jewish and has claimed that she attends at Passover seders.
